She has long false lashes to accentuate her eyes, but her foundation and skin still looks super natural. She has a touch of color on her eyes, defined brows, and winged liner. It’s a mix of both as you like the natural look on foundation, but then add a pop for the eyes, usually some sparkle, liner and long lashes. The in between look of Old Hollywood Glamour style (bold lips, long lashes, contour, etc.) and the soft glam (above) is what I like to call glam makeup. Eyeshadow is usually matte tones of browns and neutrals. There is typically some contour and highlight, but just enough to accentuate your features, and natural looking lashes, long and wispy. Not over the top at all, and is often the least amount of makeup as far as glam goes. I typically recommend this version to the clients that want to look natural, but an elevated version of themselves. There is one that is too cold (or very soft), one that is too hot (very glam, the whole shebang), and then the one that is just right (a little bit of both, to make you feel glam without being over the top). I look at glam makeup in three stages, similar to Goldilocks and the three bears. With the right artist and a working knowledge of how you want to feel (elegant, boho, glam, etc.), you will get the look you are going for, and feeling “glam” because you deserve to. They are scared they will look fake and have pounds of makeup on their faces. There are big differences between those descriptors as far as a makeup look, but most people are scared to say glam as they think it means a lot of makeup and over the top.
